Oil System Cleaner
Oil System Cleaner Service
"Sludge" is a thick, sticky, tar-like substance that forms inside your car's engine due to everyday use. Deposits of sludge inside your engine can restrict oil flow and the movement of engine parts, leading to expensive engine repairs over time. Uncle Ed’s oil system cleaner removes sludge so your vehicle can run more efficiently.
What is an Oil System Cleaner?
Uncle Ed’s car engine oil system cleaner removes sludge deposits. Regular oil system cleaning helps extend the life of your engine while reducing the risk of costly repairs.
Benefits of an oil system cleaner include:
Improved lubrication
Reduced wear and tear on engine parts
Improved fuel economy
Improved power and responsiveness
How Does an Oil System Cleaner Work?
We add the oil system cleaner to your old engine oil and let the engine idle for 5-10 minutes to circulate the cleaner throughout the system. We then drain the old oil containing the sludge removed by the cleaner. We add new oil that meets or exceeds manufacturer recommendations and replace the oil filter.
Does My Vehicle Need an Oil System Cleaner?
Sludge is more likely to build up in vehicles past due for an oil change. If this describes your vehicle, an oil system cleaner can remove early sludge deposits that may have formed between oil changes. If your vehicle’s oil system has never been cleaned (or it's been a while), we recommend an Oil System Cleaning or a full Engine Cleaning service to remove more advanced sludge deposits. Even properly maintained vehicles can benefit from an oil system cleaning service as part of their routine maintenance to prevent sludge build-up.
Drop by your local Uncle Ed’s service center when you need an oil system cleaning. Our cleaner is a simple way to remove sludge from the oil system of a car and improve engine performance.
